Across school today, every class stopped at 11am to commemorate Armistice Day. We've spent time over the last two weeks in worship, and as part of class learning, thinking about what Remembrance is all about and why it is essential we continue it as a society. We were able to take our Year 5/6 class to church to lay our school wreath and have a short service of remembrance. Mrs Clayton from church joined our remembrance. Our head girl and boy (Juliette and Oscar) helped lead this by reading the Exhortation with contributions from Joshua and Millie, two of our Y6 house captains.
In school we have used our worship table in school to create a remembrance display. All the children contributed to this and it will be left up until advent so that we can continue to remember those then and now who have sacrificed so much.
